Thurs. May 5 - laundry

 Micaela is 22 weeks old!

Monsters in our new house have given Riley some trouble, so we made a sign telling them they are not allowed in her room. Unfortunately, it didn't really help.

Riley and her matching Itty Bitty baby

 The girls

Riley painted her own toenails for the first time

Micaela loves relaxing outside and looking up at the trees and clouds

She also loves watching everything her big sister does

 Hi Micaela!

Seamus is always watching over the girls

Micaela is the happiest baby (until bedtime)

The first bottle Riley has given Micaela. She loves being a big sister.

When did she learn to sit up? My baby is growing up too quickly!

When Riley was finally feeling better we went to the "Ladybug Bistro" for lunch. The mural on the wall was impressive.

We had a bit of a rough week as the flu struck our household. Riley definitely had the worst of it, I've never seen the poor little thing so sick. She was feeling better for almost 36 hours and it started up again. We felt so bad for her. Chad slept in her room, but really there was just not much we could do. She is doing great now but wow! did that create a lot of laundry. I'm really glad we got the large capacity washer/dryer. Chad and I both had a day of not feeling great but nothing like Riley's illness. Micaela seemed to escape the flu completely but instead is battling teeth. She drools, chews on everything, and when she gets fussy, loves having her gums rubbed. It feels like Micaela is doing everything early. She's been rolling for over a month, she can already sit up and she's trying so hard to scoot around when she's on her tummy. She's already trying to keep up with her active big sister.

  3. Miss you girls! Micaela is growing crazy fast. Every other mom we meet can't believe she is only 5 months because she is so strong. Riley didn't do any of these things so early, I'm not ready for it. We keep telling Riley to be nice to her sister because she is going to catch up soon.
