Happy 2012! We rang in the new year with thousands of other Illini fans at the Kraft Fight Hunger bowl game on New Year's Eve. The game was at Giants stadium in San Francisco and even though we had a newborn, there was no way we could miss this. We joined some alumni friends for tailgating before the game. Most work at Clorox and have rotated through Kingsford so as expected, it was an excellent tailgate. We brought Riley and Micaela knowing that we probably wouldn't last the entire game and decided we'd be happy if we could just get to halftime. Unbelievably both girls were amazing and we stayed for the whole game. Micaela slept through the entire thing, we just did a quick feeding a few hours in. I love my Moby wrap, she is so happy in it! Riley had a great time. She ran up and down the stairs, watched the cheerleaders, did a tour of the stadium with Daddy and played with our friends, who were wonderful entertainers to her (THANK YOU!). It was the first football game for both and we are very proud to introduce the Illini to our daughters at such an early age. They appear to be good luck for our team, Illinois beat UCLA 20-14. Good game and a great start to the new year!
