Happy 30th Birthday Aunt Amy!!!

Its been a very big week for Micaela. On Friday she had her 1 month appointment. Micaela weighs 10 lbs, 11.5 oz and measures 22.5 in, 90th percentile for both! On Saturday she met Grandma Cathy and Aunt Amy for the first time. On Sunday she was baptized into the Catholic church. She's been a very busy newborn.

All of us have enjoyed the week with my Mom and sister. Riley has especially loved the extra attention and Micaela sleeps happily in their arms. We've done some wedding-related shopping; I tried on bridesmaids dresses and Riley tried on flower girl dresses. Our 2-year-old asked the bridal shop saleswoman for a tiara and heels to complete her princess look. What a diva! We've also done a lot of planning and shopping for Riley's birthday party. I wanted to draw on my Mom's expert cake-making skills and Amy's creativity to create a perfect cupcake and I think we've succeeded. None of us have ever used fondant before but we now have 40 perfect little ducks for cupcake toppers. I'm so glad I didn't have to do that alone. Chad has managed to squeeze in a few biking trips, a good way to escape the little house containing 5 girls.

We also used this time together to celebrate Amy's 30th birthday a little early. The actual day is January 25th, don't forget to welcome her into the next decade!
