Aug. 25, 2011 - chores

Changing Daddy's tire (not sure why she decided it needed changing)

Helping Daddy wash Mommy's car

Of course, you then need to detail the inside of the car.

I'm not sure what she is going to do with this wrench, but I'm sure its important.

Here comes our ferry!

Riley's first boat ride, she had fun!

Riley's pink outfit made her easy to find among the drab colors of the SF uniform

Flying through Union Square

In anticipation of our upcoming trip to IL, we got Riley some kid headphones.

More chores, helping Mommy hang the laundry

At the grocery store she was extra sweet to our cashier and so received a lot of stickers.

And she put them absolutely everywhere.

Riley loves to help with chores. She especially enjoys Daddy's outside chores: trimming the bushes, washing the car and raking are her favorites. She even has her own, small rake. Of course, her "help" often creates more work, but we love to include her as much as possible.

We made another trip into San Francisco this weekend. Riley has been asking to ride a boat for months, so we finally granted her request and rode the ferry into the city. It was a first for all of us, and was a fun way to approach SF. Once there, we did a little shopping and had lunch. Riley loves the grilled cheese from Cowgirl Creamery, a local cheesemaker. I never dreamed I would have a 2.5 year old who requested boutique grilled cheese!
