We were so excited to take Riley to Lake Tahoe for her first visit.  This is one of our favorite places, and its wonderful to share it with her.  We made the 4 hour drive (including a feeding stop) on Saturday afternoon and she did fantastic on her 1st long car trip.  We stayed in a great dog-friendly lodge, the Fireside Lodge, a place we've stayed at several times in the past.  We had a relaxing night and Riley slept really well during her 1st night away from home.

Sunday we hiked around Fallen Leaf Lake, a gorgeous place.  We love this hike, and it was even more special this time with our baby!  I hiked with Riley in the baby bjorn and she did great.  The walking lulled her to sleep and she slept pretty much the entire time (except when she woke up to eat...we found a nice private spot right by the lake for a snack).  Seamus had a fantastic hike too, he loves to run around, jump in the water, and chase squirrels.  It was a wonderful first hike for the family in the mountains!
