Aunt Amy was going to sketch princess dresses for Micaela's side of the room but instead made beautiful mini-dresses
Aunt Amy bought the girls a shark slip and slide; it actually took some convincing to get them to go down because they were afraid of the shark (the water turns on and off to make it fall over and chomp)
First trip down
It was fun!
Riley convinced Aunt Amy to take a trip down the slide
Eventually the girls got their aunts to pull them down so they could slide faster
They loved it
It looks like Peg and Amy are bowling
No ladder?
No problem!
Peg and Amy spent a lot of time chopping so we could put together some meals for my freezer
They did a great job
New day, time to run through the turtle sprinkler
One of our friends gave us a stroller that will hold twin carseats which can be replaced with regular stroller seats when the babies can sit up
It is a really nice stroller that moves smoothly but Aunt Amy needs a little more practice before any babies sit in it
The twins will be here just in time for football season, I'm sure they'll want to cheer for da Bears
I'm running out of time so we did our back-to-school haircuts a little early. Riley wanted to go short
It is adorable
A post-haircut celebratory lunch at one of their favorite spots, The Olive Garden
This weekend Aunt Amy and Great Aunt Peg came for a visit. It was awesome to sit back and watch the energetic aunts exhaust the girls. They played games, ran around the yard and made endless trips down the slip and slide. And when the girls were finally tired and went to bed, they helped me chop food to make 6 different meals for my freezer. I had asked Amy to sketch some princess dresses for Micaela's side of the room. Of course she went way beyond that and made beautiful mini dresses that we mounted in shadow boxes. I can't wait to get them on the wall. We had a really great time with them and I'm so appreciative of all they helped us do.
