Tues. May 13, 2014 - Disneyland part II

They both ran full speed when they saw Minnie Mouse walking down Main Street (we loved the early morning Magic Hours, quite the hotel amenity)

 Big hugs

Our family in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle

 Mommy, Riley, Walt and Mickey

Micaela and Daddy at the beautifully landscaped entrance to Disneyland

We had dinner at a Brennan's, a nice New Orleans restaurant with a very cool piano

 Riley, Micaela and Selina

Saying goodbye to our Bay Area friends

 I miss my friend Miriam!

Another ride on Toy Story Mania, watching Mr. Potato Head talk and talk

 King Triton's Carousel

Time to dance with Disney Junior Live!

 Micaela absolutely loved it

Riley enjoyed "Turtle Talk with Crush" and was amazed that Crush could somehow see the audience, speak to certain people and answer their questions

An interactive questionnaire to see which Disney character you are (the girls got Pocahontas)

 The Beast's fireplace

 My cool California girls

 Taking in the parade

Daddy and Riley in line for Splash Mountain

Huge success: they loved it and got wet

Walking through Pixie Hollow to meet a fairy

I love that they take the time to stop and smell the flowers

 And they were huge flowers

 Iridessa!

Mommy and the girls in the theater to see "Alladdin Live;" it was spectacular!

Heading in to the Haunted Mansion, the ride the girls chose to be our last one on our last night

 Dancing outside the parks

A very cool model of Big Thunder Mountain in our hotel tower

Before we flew out we had to have breakfast with Goofy

Surprisingly he made a good breakfast

Hi Chip!

 Pluto was a family favorite

Riley LOVED that he sniffed her

 Alice in Wonderland

 Goofy was everywhere

Micaela was scared of Chip but happy when Dale came around

 Cool bushes in our hotel

Riley requested a picture by the statues

For her souvenir, Riley chose a blaster to go with her Buzz Lightyear costume

Micaela chose an Anna and Elsa doll

Chad's conference was during the last few days of our trip to Disneyland so we had lots of girl time and he joined us when he could during his breaks. It was hot but after the winter we just had, I enjoyed the 95 degrees. I was careful to drink lots of water and we always went back to the hotel for naps in the AC and some pool time to cool off. We also took in some shows so I could sit down and relax; that double stroller was heavy to push! There are so many unique things to do and see and Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure and we experienced it all. Well, almost all of it. They would have loved to have met Anna and Elsa, the princesses from Frozen, but the line was usually 4 hours long. We told them that California was too hot so Anna and Elsa weren't there.

Before we flew back to MN we had breakfast with Goofy and his friends, did a little shopping, and took a few more pictures around our beautiful hotel. It was a wonderful trip and we've made wonderful memories. I know Riley will remember this trip and hopefully Micaela will too. I know Chad and I will definitely remember how joyful it made the girls.

  1. Whoa, where did you find the Anna and Elsa doll? Is it a double doll? Kinda creepy if it is....
