Micaela LOVES to play dress-up
Riley's first composition, she really learned a lot during piano lessons this year

The new star map (the same version that used to hang in Daddy's room) for Riley's room is framed and ready to go
Riley is happy with her new bed, although she's disappointed that she has flower sheets instead of stars and planets (those have been surprisingly hard to find)
Its hard to believe that Riley has just 2 weeks of preschool left before she graduates to kindergarten. I was happy that I had another chance to be in the classroom with her this week during their Mother's Day celebration. We made mini muffins with other moms and kids, worked on an art project and enjoyed an adorable book about moms. I love these special times with our big girl.
We have been doing a lot of work preparing the bedrooms for our new arrivals. Riley and Micaela will be sharing a room and we've let them each choose the decor for their part in the hopes that it will be "their" room and not just Riley's room. Micaela wants pink walls with princess decorations; very easy since the walls were already pink. Riley requested black walls with planets and stars for an outer space theme. Daddy showed her lots of pictures of nebulae and galaxies and we finally compromised with purple walls. He even ordered the same glow-in-the-dark star map that used to hang in his room when he was little. The new beds have arrived and the room is really taking shape. Anticipating some trouble sleeping when we make the big change, we won't move Micaela in to the new room until school is over. Hopefully the sisters will be good roommates!
