Happy 4th of July everyone! Riley and I made a blueberry and strawberry tart and when I got out our cake pedestal, Riley asked who's birthday we were celebrating. Hence, Happy Birthday America!
We had our friends, Steve, Jenny and Colin Cavadeas over for a BBQ. Steve worked with Chad at Clorox and accepted a job at Georgia Pacific just a few months before Chad. It was nice to spend some time with fellow CA-turned-WI friends. We have been sweltering in the heat and humidity, so Chad was very brave to grill ribs all morning. Maybe it was the heavy air, but these were some of his best ever! Riley, Micaela and I broke a sweat just picking flowers for the centerpiece. We really love our new house, its big enough for entertaining when we are stuck inside all day (after day after day...will this heat ever end?). We had a great day with friends, a Happy 4th of July in our new home.
