This week we had a full house. My Mom, Dale and my Grandparents came for a long weekend. We kept them busy around the house, playing with the girls and doing projects (thanks for all the weeding, Mom!). Chad and I celebrated his birthday with a dinner out, just the two of us. I don't think we've been out alone together since Micaela was born, so this was a treat. Of course the girls reveled in all the extra attention We love having visitors and look forward to more!
Georgia Pacific was thoughtful enough to schedule the company picnic on Tuesday, so we had quite the party on Chad's actual birthday. It was very family-oriented with games for the kids, lots of age-appropriate prizes, and bingo (the prize was toilet paper and paper towels and everyone was a winner). We had a great time. Not many companies still hold picnics which made us appreciate it even more.
It feels like Micaela has made significant developments lately. She has learned to clap and is finally saying "Mama." I'd been waiting for that word for so long but now its a constant "Mama mama mama mama" usually said with a bit of a cry which gets me running to her even faster.
Happy belated to my birthday twin (except he's MUCH MUCH older :P)!! So great that you guys get to see family so much more often now!!
