Thurs. Oct. 27, 2016 - Bears/Packers for our 12 year anniversary

The sisters are divided on the day of the Bears-Packers game

We followed the Bears' police-escorted charter buses to Green Bay

Tailgating outside of Lambeau

We weren't the only Bears fans in the crowd

The game didn't turn out the way we wanted, but it was a really fun night

Playing in the pile of leaves is so much fun

Riley was among 2nd graders from the 4 different classrooms to receive an award at Houdini Elementary this month

 So proud of her!

4 kids, hanging out in our big bed, watching TV. I love it!

When I realized that the Bears played the Packers at Lambeau Field 3 days before our wedding anniversary, I told Chad that I wanted tickets to be our gift to each other. This was hard to do, since no Packers fans wanted to sell their seats to Bears fans. Luckily our neighbors, Heidi and Dan, came through and found 4 tickets so we could all go together. We had a fantastic time tailgating and watching a pretty competitive Thursday night game. In the end the Bears lost, which was disappointing, but we had an awesome adult night out.

The kids love playing in the piles of leaves that Chad creates almost daily. The girls beg Chad to throw them in the piles but the boys were a little freaked out by it. We love watching their joy.

This week Riley received an achievement award from her school. Each month the teachers choose a student from their class and Riley was chosen for her hard work and sharing her ideas. She is doing really well in 2nd grade. She likes her teacher and is having a great year. At parent-teacher conferences her teacher told us that she is reading at an advanced-proficient level, is an extremely creative story-writer with an aptitude for science and facts. She is also disorganized, which has been obvious for years. We're so proud of her!
