Fri. Sept. 6, 2013 - Duluth vacation, part II

Nothing beats a view of Lake Superior while taking a bath
Sitting on a rock, pondering the majesty of the lake

Daddy and Riley climbing on rocks

Micaela, Daddy and Riley at Enger Hill

"We have to climb all the way to the top?"

 "No problem!"

The top of the tower provided amazing panoramic views (our house is on the small strip of land between the lake and the bay)

Family pic from the top of the tower

Digging for fossils at the Duluth Children's Museum

Riley decked out in safety gear

Micaela steered while Daddy adjusted the sails

 Riding a horse

 Her Majesty

A final walk along the water

 Hugs on the beach

 Jump!

 Footprints in the sand

Cheers to a great vacation (and a great sampler at Fitger's brewery)

We took a lot of pictures on vacation so I split this into 2 posts. During the second half of our week in Duluth we visited Enger Tower, the Duluth Children's Museum and played on the beach. Chad did some solo mountain biking on harder trails that were not chariot safe and I went on a few runs with views of the lake for inspiration. We were very impressed with the food in Duluth, we had some delicious food in kid-friendly restaurants (a rare combination).

This week was exactly what we needed: some relaxing time away spent together as a family. I hope we can visit again someday!
