Even the grilled cheese at Disney World is special
Riley took a picture of me enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony

Silly Micaela
On Tuesday we took the day off to relax at our resort
We hung by the pool
and reclined in the pool chairs
That night we went to The Polynesian for dinner
My adorable dinner dates
Riley had a special Buzz Lightyear drink
Mommy had a special drink, too
After seeing "Mickey's Philharmagic" Riley loved wizard Mickey and chose his hat as her souvenir
Daddy was at his conference all day but had some time off before bedtime so we got to spend a little time with him.
He thought he would relax on the hammock for a while
Yeah, right.
Micaela loved running along the beach
On Wednesday I took the girls back to the Magic Kingdom and our first ride was the carousel...Micaela was concerned but very happy once it got going
We were very lucky to get into "Be Our Guest," the new restaurant in Fantasyland
Micaela happened to be dressed in her Belle shirt
It was a huge, gorgeous restaurant and the French food was delicious
I loved the mosaics
Then we rode the raft over to Tom Sawyer's island
These girls needed to run and burn off some energy before naptime
Hey, no resting!
Hopefully Riley will inherit her Daddy's map reading and direction finding skills
Riley walked a fair bit but once she got tired she rode in the stroller and Micaela rode on my back
We went back for a little more after naptime and I told Riley to pick her favorite to ride one more time. She chose Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger
Micaela, don't break INTO jail with Zurg!
Enjoying a peaceful walk along a side pathway
Then it was princess time. First up was Rapunzel. Micaela smiled for the camera while Riley and Rapunzel talked about hair
Needless to say, we saw "Tangled" as soon as we got home.
Sleeping Beauty!
Cinderella took both girls by the hand
And they loved her
Hugs for Riley
And Micaela
Chad's convention began on Monday night so we had some girl time for a few days. After hitting 2 Kingdoms, we needed a day to relax at the hotel. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony then hit the pool. After naptime we went to The Polynesian, a nearby resort that is accessible by the monorail. It was gorgeous and we had a delicious Hawaiian meal for dinner. When we got back to our room Daddy surprised us with a visit. His convention ended a little early so we got to spend some time on the (fake) beach with him before bedtime.
The next day went we back to the Magic Kingdom. I wasn't sure how it would go, keeping track of them both by myself, but they were great. I don't think I gave Riley enough credit, she was very helpful, listened, and really made the day go well. We had fun on the rides and had a fantastic lunch at "Be Our Guest," a new restaurant that opened in the last few months. They don't accept reservations for lunch and the wait is usually 1 hour long but we were asked to participate in an experimental fastpass program and walked right in. It was a gorgeous restaurant with several rooms, each a scene from "Beauty and the Beast." We loved the experience and the food.
After naptime we went back to the park to ride a few rides one last time. I told Riley to pick her favorite and she choose Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger. She really loves Buzz! After burning off some energy at the Tomorrowland dance party we went to meet the princesses. Both Riley and Micaela rushed right up to them and gave each one a hug. I was impressed with how sweet and personable the princesses were to the girls, they spent time talking with us and we didn't feel rushed at all. Rapunzel invited Riley back to her kingdom to teach her how to braid and Riley couldn't talk about anything else. We hadn't seen Tangled but watched it as soon as we got home.
