Daddy, can we go for a hay rack ride?

This weekend we went to Ardenwood Farm's Harvest festival. After a rainy week, Saturday was a sunny and beautiful day, perfect for outdoor fun. Riley loves pumpkins and enjoyed some time in the pumpkin patch searching for the perfect pumpkin. We also did a hay rack ride around one of the fields where we learned about how they do things on this little farm. Chad said the tractor that pulled us around was like the one that he drove when he was growing up. Ah the memories.

After a picnic lunch we headed for the corn field. You can pick all the Indian and popcorn that you want, you just have to husk it and give half back to the farm. Chad expertly led us through the rows and we found lots of ears of corn. The pretty Indian corn is perfect for our autumn decorations and the popcorn is tasty! It was a really fun day and definitely got us in the mood for fall.
