Thurs. Oct. 1, 2015 - Apple picking in Appleton

A beautiful day at Hofacker's Orchard

Eating apples fresh off the trees

The boys didn't pick any apples but they loved to touch the leaves

Not sure what she ate but what a mess!

In her 3rd game Riley scored her first goal!

Time to get out the Halloween decorations

The girls, especially Riley, loves watching the eclipse progress into a blood moon

Not surprisingly, Appleton has lots of apple orchards. We've made it an annual family tradition to go picking in the fall and we all love eating and baking with fresh, delicious apples for months (they last quite a while in our cool temperatures when they are fresh off the tree). The girls run up and down the rows, Chad fills and lugs the heavy bags, and I tandem carry the boys while the 3 of us take it all in. It was a beautiful day to spend some time outside together.

Alright, time to go make some more applesauce!
