Its pretty hard to get the crew out the door so we made the most of our long Memorial Day weekend with lots of fun around home. We really miss camping so we transformed our backyard into a campground. We had a fire and Chad and the girls slept in the tent. They did great and can't wait to sleep in the tent again. I can't wait until until we can all camp as a family!
We also celebrated our friend Amelia's first birthday. Riley, Micaela and I (and at least 1 baby, each boy spent some time on my back while we were working) enjoyed making a big cake and a little cake just for Amelia. The girls really like to bake and decorate with frosting and did their own cake. I'm so glad this is something we can do together. The party was fun, especially the party hats and blowers.
It was so nice to have the long weekend to catch up on all the little jobs that are building up at home. Our daily lives are pretty busy and exhausting so we appreciated some extra days to get things done and still find time to relax!
