...as it was 6 years ago
Its hard to believe our little Riley is 6 years old! This year she is fascinated by space so we decorated the house with planets and I made cupcakes with different planets on them for her to take to school. She was a little disappointed that she didn't receive a remote controlled rocket that goes to the moon but she is excited to learn more about the solar system with her Daddy who is equally, if not more enthusiastic, about space.
We are so proud of our little girl. She absorbs everything she learns and is already a walking encyclopedia of knowledge (Did you know that Snowy Owls migrate from the Arctic to Wisconsin, where it is warmer, for the winter? I didn't.). She is very sensitive to other people's feelings and is incredibly sweet to her siblings. Riley is quite competitive (no idea where she gets that) and loves art and writing; she is currently composing and illustrating her first opera. We feel so incredibly lucky to be raising this wonderful daughter who amazes and challenges us every day.

ReplyDeleteI know, that's one of my favorites of Riley and Chad from those first few days. Hard to do the baby hold now. Its crazy how fast the 6 years have gone!!!
