When I did a practice moon mine dried quickly; I hadn't counted on the amount of flour-thickened paint the girls would use

Such a beautiful little girl

Who thought it was a good idea to sell cookies in WI in Feb?

Little brothers enraptured by big sister's story

They are really on the move. Tristan, in orange, started on the playmat at the bottom of the photo and didn't stop until he ran out of real estate

Saturday was a big day for Riley. We hosted a birthday party for her, 4 of her girlfriends and Micaela. She is fascinated by space and wanted a solar system party and a sun cake; I admire her creativity and am thankful that anything, including hanging planet decorations, can be found on Amazon. We decided that it would be easiest if Chad drove the car-loving twins around while I ran the party. Turns out this was a great decision as 6 little girls love to scream! First we painted crater-filled moons, then we played solar system bingo. Daddy and the brothers returned at the end for cake and presents. They all had a really fun time.

But the fun didn't end there! After her friends left, Riley and Chad got all dressed up for the Girl Scouts' "Me and My Guy" dance. We ordered Riley a corsage and she and her Daddy had a wonderful date with dinner, cake, dancing and formal pictures. Riley even worked up the courage to request a song from the DJ ("Firework" by Katy Perry). They had a really great time and I'm so happy Riley had this opportunity to bond with her Daddy.

The next day she and Mommy had some bonding time...walking around in the cold selling Girl Scout cookies to our neighbors. Why did our area council decided February was a good time to sell cookies??? We only lasted an hour before the cold drove us back indoors. But no one could say "no" to an adorable Daisy Scout so it was a productive afternoon.
