Riley and Mommy hiking Point Isabel
Yummy cake!
What a fun party!
Chad was gone the entire week on business travel, so it was just the girls. I planned some special activities to keep us extra busy in his absence. We hit the farmer's market, did some hikes and long walks, went out for lunch, put stickers on our nails, all kinds of fun. Riley got to watch her first movie, "Beauty and the Beast." She usually isn't too interested in TV but was enthralled the entire 90 minutes. Once Belle appeared in her fancy yellow dress and Riley identified her as a princess, she couldn't get enough of Belle and now loves princesses. She is truly a girly-girl.
Monday night our friends Miriam, Skiff and Selina invited us over for dinner and sent us home with leftovers. I appreciated the adult dinner conversation and Riley loved playing with Selina. Miriam made us an amazing spread of Chinese food, hopefully I picked up a few tips.
On Tuesday morning we had her friends Selina and Claire over to celebrate her birthday. This party was originally scheduled closer to her birthday but her friends got sick, so we had to postpone. She had fun sharing her toys with everyone and blowing out the candles on another cake.
We had a good week but we certainly missed Daddy. He's been gone since Saturday morning and we can't wait until he gets home tomorrow!
