The boys used to like to ride in the wagon, now they like to pull it.
Micaela gets home from the bus stop in style
My friend Anna and I ran a 10K, my first one. It was a great experience.
When we crossed the finish line we got a medal...
...and a beer.
Grandma Cheryl and Grandpa Leon came for a visit and brought early Christmas presents.
Trains!
And a train table!
The first snow of the year is always exciting.
This year Riley wanted to do the "Santa Scamper," a family-friendly 1-mile race before the Appleton Christmas parade.
Chad and I pushed the boys in the stroller so the whole family participated. We were so proud of the girls, they ran the entire mile! And we got Dilly Bars at the end, just what you want on a cold WI evening.
Then we watched the parade.
This float is always a favorite. Its the hot air ballon club shooting flames from their baskets. The heat warms us all up.
Everyone is entranced by fire.
We went to IL for Thanksgiving where the cousins and Uncle Chad got to meet cousin Leah for the first time.
Snuggles with Great Grandma Charlotte
Gifts for the birthday girl
Shopkins, thanks Great Grandma Charlotte and Great Grandpa John!
Everyone likes watching Disney shows
Chad and Grandpa had to replace Mom's garbage disposal because of course something in the kitchen had to break down when we were preparing Thanksgiving dinner.
Time to bake for Micaela's birthday party.
Making sure Aunt Amy does a good job frosting the cupcakes
She was exceptional, of course!
The girls added the sprinkles.
I just watched as I had very important things to do.
What a crew!
Grandma Cathy and Aunt Amy made beautiful cupcakes.
More presents!
Leah is a party animal!
We love this birthday girl!
We thought we'd take a picture of all the cousins. This was the best we could get.
Then we traveled to Princeton for the Kelly Thanksgiving where Micaela got another cake!
Uncle Tom flew all the way from CT to light the candles.
Freese family
Great Grandma Jean and the cooperative female great grandchildren.
All her great-grandkids
Jam session with cousin Ethan
When we got home the fairies had left Micaela a special message on our chalkboard
And decorated her room for her birthday!
Our birthday Princess
November was busy! I think the pictures say it all...except I didn't take many pictures of our Thanksgiving celebrations. Mom hosted us on Thanksgiving day where we were joined by my grandparents, Chad's parents Leon and Cheryl, and Aunt Maggie and some of my cousins. On Saturday we went to Princeton where all my Aunts and Uncles were able to come together, and many cousins too. I'm glad we were able to gather so many of us together for the holiday. It was great to catch up with so much of our family and spend this time together.
